B.A. Digital Marketing Management

As of September 2020, Perrotis Collegs will offer the B.A. (Hons) Digital Marketing Management degree which has been developed in conjunction with the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM).

Digital marketing channels have revolutionized the way in which all businesses - whether domestic or global, large or small independent enterprises - operate and market their business activities. An ever increasing number of organizations are embracing digital marketing platforms in order to enhance and support their core marketing communications objectives. As such, digital marketing management has evolved from a peripheral element of organizational marketing to a pivotal 'must do' activity. Employers from all sectors of business are seeking out graduates with digital marketing skills in an endeavor to facilitate this knowledge base within their organizations. 

Students will learn a wide range of key digital marketing tools and techniques including Digital Analytics, Search Marketing: Content and SEO & PPC and Mobile and Social Marketing.

Becoming a 'Digital Marketer' will enable you to gain the academic knowledge and practical skills needed to gain employment in the marketing industry. Upon graduation you will have a wide base of digital, marketing and management knowledge in what marketers say will be the most important knowledge capabilities in five years: Digital Marketing, Branding, Marketing communications, Global and International Marketing, PR and Corporate Reputation. The BA (Hons) Digital Marketing degree will also enable you to use this knowledge to create a joined-up digital marketing plan. The structure and content of the course will allow you to develop your skills through working on real campaigns in collaboration with relevant businesses.  

Our BA (Hons) Digital Marketing Management degree is in the process of being awarded IDM accredited status - which will enable our students the opportunity to gain exemptions from the IDM Certificate in Digital Marketing.   

The Lecturers have both academic knowledge and industry experience to teach you the skills you need for the workplace after graduation. Upon graduation you will have the personal capabilities senior managers expect of a professional marketer.

Learning outcomes

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of the program, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and critical understanding of:

  • The key areas of Digital Marketing Management, such as Markets, Customers, Finance, People and Operations.
  • The business environment in which digital organisations operate.
  • How the marketing philosophy operates within digital organisations.
  • The way in which Digital Marketing Management approaches can be applied to current practices and complex scenarios within the industry.
  • The use of information systems for managing the operations of Digital organisations, including internal functions and external customer relationships.
  • The use of digital technologies to enhance strategic communications and operations within Industry.
  • Contemporary Issues in the Digital Industry including aspects of law and codes governing digital marketing and digital marketing campaigns.

Furthermore you should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Conduct appropriate research in a Digital Marketing context.
  • Identify key drivers of business success and analyse the causes of failures to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and organise their own involvement in Digital Marketing related activities to include setting goals and meeting deadlines.
  • Develop the skills of a reflective marketing practitioner.
