Faculty Openings at Perrotis College - Graduate Programs
 
Perrotis College has introduced a School of Graduate Studies in fall of 2017, which awards MSc Degrees in 2 different areas of concentration related to Agricultural Science and Marketing of Agricultural Products. The Graduate School builds on the AFS philosophy and long history of quality education focusing on applied research, practical training, and entrepreneurship, guided by the principles of social responsibility, as well as its century old experience as facilitator of many agricultural innovations for Greece and the area.
 
Instruction at Perrotis College is conducted in the English language equipping our graduates to face the dynamics of the worlds of science, academia, and business internationally preparing them as well, for continuation at the Doctoral level abroad.
 
The College offers for the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020 two (2) teaching positions as part of the Master’s program in Marketing for the Agro-Food Sector as follows:
 
1. Digital Marketing
2. Domestic & International Sales
 
Each faculty member is required to teach 3 classroom hours and to hold 1 office hour weekly per each 3 credit hour course. Classes take place on Friday afternoon’s and Saturdays. All faculty members are encouraged to participate in research and to design and lead student theses. Additionally, service to certain College committees is expected. 
 
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Terminal degree (Ph.D.) in the field of expertise. For the Domestic & International Sales Position, candidates with a Master’s and significant professional experience will be accepted.
Proficiency level of spoken and written English
Teaching experience at University level preferably in English
Related research and publications
 
Desirable Personal Characteristics and Experience:
Strong motivation and participation to department needs
Ability to work in a team
Proven ability to communicate effectively
Familiarity with the US or UK educational systems
Ability to design and lead research
Industrial experience
Post-doctoral work

Job vacancy for Associate Director of Recruitment at the American Farm School

Job brief
We are looking for an Associate Recruitment Director to design the strategy and oversee student recruiting.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plans, participates and evaluates school visits, speaks to groups and individual students, and meets with school counselors and administrators to promote outreach activities;
2. Manages and coordinates community workshops, and recruitment efforts; arranges visits and tours for prospective students and parents;
3. Participates in the preparation of enrollment management targets and the recruiting plan necessary to achieve these goal;
4. Coordinates and implements various recruitment programs and strategies;
5. Coordinates participation of staff and alumni for national and local recruitment and other fairs; coordinates event-specific organizational aspects, promotional materials and information dissemination.
6. Participates in public relations events, promotional opportunities, marketing campaigns, business and committee meetings, and press and publicity functions;
7. Trains and assists student recruiters in the process of advising students and families concerning admission requirements, financial aid and scholarships and School policies and procedures;
8. Prepares reports and proposals, and responds to inquiries from students;
9. Develops operating goals and objectives for the unit; implements and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations, as appropriate to the unit;
10. Assists in the creation of packages, monitors and distributes resource materials for student recruitment; analyzes trends in recruitment;
11. Keeps track of recruiting metrics (e.g. cost-per-enrollment);
12.  Implements new sourcing methods;
13. Reviews recruitment software and suggests the best option for School needs;
14. Guides and oversees the work of reportees and/or interns employees when engaged in directly related support activities; participates in employee training and evaluative sessions;
15. Stays up-to-date on education Ministry developments; and
16. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Job Requirements
University degree with at least 5 years of experience in recruiting or sales or other directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Graduate degree in related field will substitute 2 years of work experience
Proof of fluency in written and oral Greek and English
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
Organizing and coordinating skills
Ability to analyze course prerequisites, certification, and/or curriculum/graduation requirements
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
Program planning and implementation skills
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
Skill in the configuration and use of computerized database programs
Ability to provide leadership and guidance to administrative support staff

Ability to travel by vehicle or air, locally and internationally.

Full-time position at the American Farm School - Strategic Project Management Office

Interdisciplinary Researcher Consultant

The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of the “BIOCIRCULAR” and “TrustTrace” ESPA projects and to the development of the network of AFS-coordinated demonstration farms. Among other things, s/he will be called upon to provide solutions to issues of inter-connectivity, communications and database design.

Fields of Expertise: The successful candidate will be competent in at least one and familiarized with a range of the following fields:  Internet of Things (IoT); Cloud Computing; Distal and Proximal Sensor Technologies, including Spectrometry and Sensor Networks; Blockchain Technologies.

Formal qualifications: An interdisciplinary combination of PhD, MSc and BSc awards in a combination among the following disciplines: Electrical and Computer Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Information Technology; Physics; Mathematics; Agriculture; any other relevant fields.

Person Specifications:The successful candidate must be able to perform in a challenging and dynamic environment, willing to acquire new and combine knowledge and skill sets, contribute to an interdisciplinary team and travel both domestically and abroad.
