Join us for the NIMSS annual meeting, "Enhancing Poultry Production Systems through Emerging Technologies and Husbandry Practices" (June 17-18, 2024), followed by the International Symposium (June 19 – 20, 2024), both hosted at the campus of the American Farm School of Thessaloniki, Greece.

Event Information:

  • NE1942 "Enhancing Poultry Production Systems through Emerging Technologies and Husbandry Practices" is an exclusive annual gathering tailored specifically for members of NIMSS. This prestigious event will be hosted at the renowned American Farm School of Thessaloniki, situated within the most dynamic and sustainable campuses of northern Greece. Scheduled to take place over two days, from the 17th to the 18th of June, this closed meeting promises a focused exploration of cutting-edge technologies and innovative husbandry practices within the poultry sector. It offers a unique opportunity for academic professionals to engage in in-depth discussions, share knowledge, and contribute to advancements in poultry production.

 

  • The International Symposium "Synergy in Poultry Production, Food Science, and Public Health for Global Well-Being" welcomes everyone to this gathering hosted by the American Farm School of Thessaloniki on the 19th and 20th of June. Designed to foster collaboration, participants, including academic professionals and industry experts, will have the opportunity to engage in enlightening sessions.   • Moreover, between June 21 and June 23, exclusive to NIMSS members, there is an optional excursion to Trikala and Metsovo. This unique opportunity allows participants to immerse themselves in Greek culture while exploring some of Greece's most innovative wineries and dairy product facilities. Embrace this enriching experience as an extension of the NIMSS events, combining cultural discovery with visits to cutting-edge establishments in the heart of Greece.

Fees:

NIMSS + Symposium: $450 per participant

Optional Excursion: $1,000 per participant (accommodation in double rooms)

FAQ:

1| When should I arrive in Greece and at what airport?

Please arrange to leave the United States on Saturday, June 15 to arrive in Greece on Sunday, June 16th. On June 16th, a scheduled Welcome Dinner is planned. You should arrive at Thessaloniki International Airport Macedonia (SKG). Kindly note that you should ensure transfer to your hotel on the day of arrival on your own.

 

2| When and how do I make the payment of registration?

All payments are expected to be made via bank transfer only. After you submit the registration form, an AFS representative will contact you for more details. An electronic invoice will be issued to individuals separately via email.

 

3| Is transfer to and from the NIMSS Annual Meeting & Symposium included in the registration fee?

Yes, only if participants are staying in either the Nikopolis Hotel or Hyatt Hotel. Participants who are staying at a different hotel should ensure their transportation to the American Farm School of Thessaloniki campus on their own. Do not hesitate to contact us in case you need suggestions.

 

4| What is the deadline to register for the Optional Excursion (June 21 – 23)?

The deadline to register for the Optional Excursion is March 18, 2024.
