With the scientific supervision of Perrotis College, the 2nd Greek Cheese Competition - Organoleptic Assessment, was held this year in Athens on November 10th-12th, in the framework of the 5th Dairy Expo 2018.
Dr. Kiki Zinoviadou, Assistant Professor and Head of the New Food & Business Development Graduate Program at Perrotis College, was the scientific manager of the event, while Professor Nikolas Gizgis also participated in the evaluation group.
Producers had the opportunity to participate with their products and be evaluated through taste tests prepared by the jury, which consisted of experts and accredited scientists specializing in dairy and cheese making. The purpose of the contest was to highlight and promote the quality, nutritional value, and gastronomic excellence of Greek cheeses. Around 100 samples were evaluated from all over Greece.
